THE GREATER VOICE WITHIN

As She lay there, gazing painfully at her helpless body, struggling to make her voice heard, surrounded by a deafening silence with no one in sight to offer assistance, uncertainty swirled around her like a thick fog. It was a truly harrowing sight for her.

And that lady was me. The year 2023 stretched endlessly before me, filled with challenges and uncertainties. I can only imagine your experiences unless, of course, you'd care to share them with me by replying to this email.

Even though it was a whirlwind of a year, marked by milestones such as completing my college education, and embarking on my national service journey. Amidst it all, numerous moments of growth and introspection unfolded.

Family, friends, and acquaintances gazed upon me with outstretched arms, offering assistance and support. Yet, I found myself caught in a web of indecision, uncertain of whether I could reclaim my life and sanity once consciousness returned. It was a struggle against the notion of being "alive but not truly living" – a paradoxical existence.

The Prince of Peace had paid the ultimate price for my freedom from the burdens of sin, yet I found myself ensnared by the deceptive allure of external appearances, painted with feminine hues of pink. The devil, ever cunning, disguises his traps with superficial charm, luring unsuspecting souls into his grasp. If there's one thing to remember, it's that the unraveling of Eve's fate began in Genesis – the genesis of all beginnings.

Upon regaining consciousness, I found myself surrounded by voices – voices that echoed with condemnation and doubt. "You are unworthy... unloved... undeserving..." they whispered, each word a dagger to my already fragile spirit. Tears flowed freely as I grappled with these relentless assaults on my self-worth.

In the depths of my despair, a flicker of strength emerged. No longer would I allow myself to be dragged down by the weight of negativity? I stood firm against the onslaught, declaring my worth and identity in Christ. His death and resurrection had secured my victory; I was more than a conqueror, fiercely loved and held by God.

With each proclamation, the sinister image that haunted my dreams dissipated into nothingness, leaving only tears of joy and triumph behindHere are a fewfavorreceive. I had broken through the darkness, empowered by the unwavering love of God.

Does this narrative resonate with you? Whether you've faced similar struggles or are currently navigating your challenges, remember this: the devil prowls like a roaring lion, seeking to extinguish your light. But you, beloved, are a beacon of light in a world shrouded in darkness. Let your radiance shine forth, illuminating the path for others to find their way.

Be reminded of this scripture
Matthew 5: 15-16 ''If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand.  Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand - shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. (MSG). Therefore, Shine where it's dark most.

This Cory Asbury's song later came to make sense to me;
… Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the 99
And I couldn't earn it
I don't deserve it, still, You give yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending reckless love of God

… There's no shadow You won't light up
Mountain You won't climb up
Coming after me
There's no wall You won't kick down
Lie You won't tear down
Coming after me

So, my dear friend, shine brightly, knowing that you are deeply loved by God and cherished by those around you.

Few divine guidelines for this year:
  •  Project God into all of your life affairs,
  • Trust Him to help you realize the needful and do them,
  • Experience His favour by being committed to that which has been assigned to you,
  • Forgive all wrongdoings against you and LOVE genuinely,
  • Cherish those relationships with your loved ones
...If there's more to the list, you can keep adding them.
Remember to reply to this email if you'd love to share your experience with me. Check the attached song (YOU SAY by Lauren Daigle) for a reaffirmation of what God has said about YOU.
I will share with you how I journeyed from writing in my head to putting it into writing in my next Letter to you and lest I forget, it's a season of Love, keep extending love. You will be receiving this frequently as I get the prompting to do so.

Cheers to the Big year 2024; a season of Great Light.
PS: Share with friends.

Till I write again,
With love,
Adedokun Grace
